The Get Away

With all the growing up around here Steve and I went for an overdue weekend get away to the cooler climate where we enjoyed the rain in the evenings, a bike ride and swimming in the sunshine and watching an olympic basketball game while we worked out.
Keep in mind that this picture taking thing is new for me so I forgot to get a good picture of the area where we stayed...and then have you ever tried to get a good picture of Steve? Well I have, and we will all just have to settle for this one which I think is too funny.
Our trip was super...
My pictures... " A good idea that just didn't turn out quite right..."

Growing Up

Christopher is working hard at Basketball and went to Las Vegas for a tournament which gave him a super opportunity to show that the values we have taught him all his life really mean a lot to him. Michael attended a local soccer camp and had a great time. Timothie is back at college where she actually likes to cook and clean house.

Happy Birthday

I absolutly love the colors in these flowers that my thoughtful VT brought over to say Happy Birthday. I was able to capture the picture with the new camera Steve gave me. Steve and I went on a fun date to our favorite restaurant and then to the movie Mama Mia. I have to tell you I laughed and cried. This is an emotional time of year as our daughter heads off to college and the boys are learning to drive!

Rodney & Baxter

Many of you will remember how convinced we were that we would never have pets... but as you see here we gave in! Really now, Dogs are so polite. They are ALWAYS happy to see you, and the first to welcome you home from a long day. It will be 2 years at Thanksgiving since we brought Rodney home, and a year since we brought home Baxter so that Rodney would have a buddy to play with. They are like having potty trained babies that don't need a babysitter. They love to be held, snuggle when it is cold, go for walks and play. Some days this makes it hard to get the house work done and so it's my favorite excuse for slow house cleaning!
