Ok so after living in Calgary for 12 years I never took the bus! Steve had taken the kids on adventures to the movies and took the bus just to enjoy the journey. So we like wise just took the time to enjoy the experience at this time.

Rag Time Quilt
Learning to sew a Rag Time Quilt from Nana was very special and also a lot of fun. Timothie wanted to make one to take with her to college. We made a few little ones also because of course the dogs they love them!!
Waterton
The goal in going to the Waterton National Park should be a good hike in order to fully enjoy the scenery...but some of us girls came unprepared in flip flops (much to the dismay of our Eagle Scouts) and so the goal was to buy suvenier T-shirts and yummy ice cream!
...so next time we better go for the hike!

We are no longer in the land of green...but before life gets back into full school schedule we want to share some of our favorite visits from our summer vacation.

Happy Canada Day
Here we are at the old family corner where I have gone since I can remember to enjoy the Canada Day Parade. The highlight is seeing extended family and friends and catching the candy thrown.Following the parade we went for drive to the grave site of my Dad and all four grandparents.
(My Mom does not like getting her picture taken but somehow we were able to get this one. Here we are with my niece Braeden.)
When we returned to my Mom's home the rain began to come down like crazy! It was designated a disaster area with flooding. Some water was coming into the basement which Jason found out was coming from the neighbor's roof. We were still able to enjoy the day visiting, watching dance concerts and eating the traditional sloppy joes and potato salad.
