Playing Basketball Skills

Player of the week:

Class A Varsity Boys

Chris Maughan 19 points

*Went coast to coast for a huge dunk.

Also had a big block for the end of the game.

I found this on the Basketball Web site and thought it was pretty cool.
Chris has been working very hard all year to improve.
He will hopefully be playing club ball in March to aquire more experience and to keep on building his skills.
This has been a season of ups and downs due to injury to his back...
Chris seems to be healing from the hard hits and getting stronger.
This last game Chris's shot seemed a bit off, he said so himself -but when the game was over he had made 29 points.
Opportunities for a dunk do not come often but when they do it gets everyone pretty excited...especially Mom.
We hope the season will finish in a very positive way. The team will look very different next year as there are 5 seniors they will be loosing to graduation.
If the team plays at their potential they could win it. Last year they took 2nd.
Either way they learn and have fun doing it!

Christmas is for the Dogs...too

Christmas Season

Holiday Season 2009

Happy New Year

Here are where some of the best memories occur during the Christmas season. I LOVE MY FAMILY! What sweet laughter filled the room. I've realized that laughing with the people I love is one of my all time favorite things to do.

This time together was a tender mercy in our busy lives and during some bad weather conditions.

Adventures in the Great White North

There was plenty of room on the plane Christmas day. I read a really great book called Pope Joan (for the book club I am in) Everyone else had a great nap as we anticipated being with Nana and family!

:) reminds me of a funny line my son came up with as a little boy - Santa must be Canadian eh!
