Basketball
BASKETBALL Season is upon us and it has been very exciting so far. Thursday night was the teams second game for the season and Christopher took quite a blow as someone intentionally fouled him and then landed on him. He threw out his back and hit his head on the court so loud that people could hear it! We are so grateful that he is alright. He really is becoming a very well rounded player as he has been making some three pointers, dribbling down court more often and keeping things real with a dunk now and then....It is so exciting to watch him improve.
So this weekend they had the first basketball tournament for the season and took second place by 3 points.

Christmas Time
Dance Informal
Last night I had a performance I have no pictures from the evening except this one. Do you see a problem here. I walked around like this for 3 hours before noticing I was having an "Amron Moment" (He is a boy in our ward that came to church with us, on his first Sunday to pass the sacrament. He came in one brown shoe and one black shoe that was his fathers...) it was funny then and even funnier now.
Back then I asked myself how does such a thing happen with out one even noticing it? Now I still do not know the answer but I can say
it could happen to anyone! ? :)
So my point here is if I could do such a thing do you really think it was possible for me to feel comfortable asking anyone to record the dance performance.
Last night while we were waiting to perform I became aware of 9 previous students who were also there to perform. (It is hard to believe I have been working at the same job for 4.5 years now.) I LOVE my job. I love working with young women...they are so inspiring. It is so rewarding to see that they still love to dance and that they are good people! It is such a small world out there. The performance went well I'd give it a 4 out of 5.
The good news here is I got a 97% in the class. I turned in all of my assignments on time and the final paper I turned in early after spending my first all nighter on it. I began to fall asleep at 4am and 14 pages later and decided that was ENOUGH ALREADY!

NANA's Ice Cream Quote!
First -I want to make my blog a little more splashy! (like my friends)
And Secondly to share a memory.
Tonight I had a funny conversation with my sister Tracy, we were talking about a situation where the punishment would have been the same even if the truth were told to begin with. Then I jokingly said something like well you can't blame them for trying to get away with it then. My Mom was in the background of the conversation and said "2 wrongs don't make a right..." So then in return it brought back the memory of "If I'm a sinna then I'm a sinna, but I'm gonna have some fun!" which my children now quote from their Nana now and then. My Mother loves Baskin Robins Ice Cream Cones, they do not have the 31 flavors in Canada so it is the THING to do when in the USA. The story unfolds as we were traveling 10 hours on a Sunday and needed to stop for at least on meal, supper. Nana graciously paid for her all 18 of us driving in caravan for a wedding to eat at an all you can eat buffet which she new we all would love.
She did not eat with us as she waited for the Double Decker ice cream cone. (Chocolate Chocolate Almond and Nutty Coconut) My Mother eats like a bird you know! But someone made a joking comment about keeping the sabbath day holy to which she gave the now famous words "If I'm a sinna then I'm a sinna, but I'm gonna have some fun!" It was a fun memory. Of course anyone who knows us well would know that there is no need to worry about us lying or shopping on Sundays. if we can help it. After all that was supper! And even she needs to eat now and then.
We are all crazy about you MOM - we LOVE YOU!
