What a great blessing to be a family  of eight.

We are so grateful for the way each member of our family make us better.

We feel a sense of completion by seeing the lives of our children blessed with an amazing partner.

We cherish our time spent with each of them.

Graduation Duet!!

Saturday May 9th, 2015

WE are so Very EXCITED to attend back to back ceremonies for 
Sari and Michael 

as they both GRADUATED from Northern Arizona University. 

Sari graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Special/Elementary Education

& 

Michael graduated with a Bachelor of Biomedical Science with a minor in Chemistry.

This is what hard work, dedication and commitment can do.

WE feel so blessed that even though we live from Alberta to Arizona we have been able to spend these wonderful moments together.

On Top of The Mountain

April 17 - We got a phone call from 2 very happy & excited people.

At 4 am Christopher and Jasmine left the city for a early morning mountain climb in Waterton National Park. After watching the sunrise Christopher pulled out a ring and asked 
"Jasmine,will you marry me?"  She asked "Are you serious?"  
Christopher said "Yes, will you marry me" 
and Jasmine said...

"Sure" :) 

These two 
Mountain-Maughans are happily 
engaged to be married in the Cardston, Alberta Temple
 on Saturday August 1st 2015. Two valiant souls that together make 
an amazing team. Jasmine welcome to the Maughan Family making it 8. Eight is great!

Christmas Together 2014

This is a photo inspired by Sari and Michael when they gave us an early Christmas present. It was an empty picture frame with request for family pictures to be taken that weekend. After playing disc golf we decided to see if we could make it happen in that moment. 

The camera was sitting on top of the goal  

with the timer set while this was the one and only shot taken of us all.

25th Celebration

This March 26th, 2013 Steve and I shared our 25th Wedding Anniversary.

Recently I have been asked a few times how do you make a relationship work for so long.

In reality we are only just beginnning our eternity together, and when you want something to last forever you treat with great care, you do whatever it takes, keep on tweeking to improve and loving more than yesterday.

 

I am so grateful for Us. Grateful for all the learning and growing we get to do together.

We are now 7

We are very grateful to be 7 with our new son in law Evan. He fits in perfectly with all our cRaZy fun. Timothie and Evan met out in the mission field of Chicago and began writing once she returned home last April. Evan returned home in December and they were quickly engaged and making plans for eternity together. They were sealed in the Mesa, Arizona Temple on March 16th 2013.

An update on the daughter status... Today WE have 2 daughters. Michael and Sari's Big Day has come. Her parents, our families and our friends did such a great job of making it a beautiful day for our kiddos. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Michael Maughan.

This week is our 24th Wedding Anniversary.

This is an extra special year in so many ways.

This is my good friend Doreen who I met at pageant last year with our Fabulous Director Jenee Prince.

This year keeps on getting better and better! I am so blessed!

Steve and I drove to Utah for Carina Maughan's Wedding and this is the picture of all Steve's brothers and sister's except for one who lives in Georgia and could not make it.

 I am so excited to physically be together in the same location in 2012 as a family
 I can hardly contain myself.....

Getting to be with my favorite people is my greatest treasure.

We are so blessed!
I love my family soooooooooooooooooooo much!
That is why I will let the colors behind the umbrella express my love, joy, gratitude,
excitement, tender heart and anticipation.

Did you know that the first dental implant was done in 1965?

I was definatly born at the right time.

I am feeling like the Bionic Woman...OK maybe not yet, but as my daughter wrote me I will have a whole new mouth when she gets home from her mission.

I now have 4 titanium implants in the process of healing and preparing for the abutments and crown to be placed. I am looking forward to these lasting a lifetime!!!

My life is blessed with technology on so many levels.

Sweet Little Momma Time

We have been very blessed to get to spend time with Nana this summer.

She is a cutie and we loved having her here.

We spent time brushing up on our cooking skills and attending some classes.

We followed up by baking bread

 and almost smoked ourselves out of the house while making pita bread for the first time.

 The pitas turned out very tasty dispite all the smoke and we ate them with yummy chicken salad inside one day and scrambled eggs the next.

What was the smoke all about you may ask???

 I had put oil on the pizza stone after the last time I used  it...

NEVER DO THAT!!!

I then learned that if you did do that there is still hope...

 When it cooled down I used some sand paper and ground off the layer of oil.

I am happy to say it works much better now.

We also went shopping about once a week and found some classy dresses.

We watched all the seasons of Heartland we could get and laughed.

We played games often.

We went swimming in the pool to keep ourselves cool.

And Mom worked on getting some vitamin D.

She is beautiful inside and out!

We enjoyed her company so much!

We went on an adventure to see Becky and Roy's land in Southern Alberta.

It is very close to the Waterton National Park so you can easily see

the beautiful mountains, go on long walks, hikes and of course fishing is close by. 

Over the last year they have torn down buildings, gone through many things in old sheds, taken numerous trips to the dump, fixed up tractors and other farm equipment, and rolled in the mud placing pipes under the new temporary trailer home and more.

It is amazing to realize all the hard work and efforts that have been done.

 Becky and Roy are great stewards over that which they have been given.

We wish them the best as they build their dreams, and may they continue to enjoy the memories together as they go throughout the process.
